My Mission of Love

Within stillness I hear you.
In chaos I invite you.
I listen for your whispers
Into the deepest wells of my heart,
Overriding and subduing the
Loudness of mind.
HUuuuuu...

My mission is love,
To give and to receive.
To be the love that I am,
Indeed have always been.
To serve the ECK
Through knowing, being, and seeing.

Learning to love this self,
The individual
With all its strengths, weaknesses,
Its curiosities, questionable motives,
In its imperfectly perfect bodies.

Loving the emotions
Through the twists and turns,
The ups and downs.
Cycling through,
Passing by so fleetingly,
All the while knowing
It is not really I,
Not the real I.

Loving the mind
In its rigid, primitive box.
Bringing awareness, light,
To the dark places it sometimes resides,
Raising it up and out
Of its confinement
To a higher home.

Softening its rough edges
With the power of All That Is,
All that I am of,
Huuuuuu....

Coming to know and love
What is infinitely real, true,
What is infinitely me,
Soul.
Drawing me closer
HUUUUU...

Illusions fall by the wayside,
Shattering on impact instantaneously,
Making room for truth
Among the remains of what once was.

I observe,
Remaining firmly planted in the NOW
As I walk upon the ruins
Building anew.
Huuuuuu....

I am strong in my love,
In the power of my true self,
In the power of HU.
Standing in the eternal ECK,
Breathing the substance of It.

Leave me here.
Hold me in your infinite love,
Mahanta.
For here I am me
In all Its glory.
For here I am you
In all your love.

And if there comes times,
As they mostly do,
When these bodies falter,
Stumble,
In the winds of change,
Blowing powerfully
Let Soul be strong in this knowingness of HU,

Carrying us through to YOU!

I Once Was An Eagle

Artist Unknown
I once was an eagle
Way up above I flew
Until I didn’t.
Captured.
Tethered to an invisible arm,
Attached to an invisible body.
Allowed to fly no more.
I have not forgotten the magnificent view,
The air beneath my wings,
The wind in my face.
Or how it felt to swoop from great heights
to the valleys below
And then up again.
Now caged I have only my dreams to remind me of
The glorious days when I glided the heavens
And scoured the lands and waters below.
They say it is for my own good.
They say my wings are broken.
I don’t believe them.
For in my heart, I soar,
Like the eagle I am.

Focus

"Focus on the good, on the love, and then when you think you're there...focus some more on the good and on the love. We make a choice each moment...focus on fear...focus on love...Where is the love? Follow the love and know it's always love. If you haven't found the love, it isn't over yet. MTBB."

Let Go and Let Spirit

Originally posted in 2011.

Selling a house and recreating your life all over again can be stressful. Granted, it's a good stress, but it can take its toll if you let it. I realized I was letting myself get too entangled in the stress, the fears, and all the mind stuff so I decided to venture out for a day.

I found myself at a pretty secluded beach near the Cape May Ferry in New Jersey. It was a beautiful day to say the least, and I enjoyed the relaxation, the me time. At the end of the day, the sun began to set. It was pretty. It looked like this.

I felt so grateful to be in the presence of such a living, breathing reminder that endings can be as beautiful as beginnings. The birds seemed to think so too and so I tried numerous times to capture them as they flew directly in the path of the sunlight because I thought what a photo it would make. My timing was always off and soon the sun was fading behind the clouds.

Finally, I gave up and thought to myself, "Well, if the Holy Spirit wanted me to have that photo I would've gotten it or something much, much better." I gathered up my things and began to walk away. No sooner than I had, I got a nudge to turn around. I saw this.

Then....

I couldn't believe my eyes! It will forever remind me that we can do okay on our own. Life can be even beautiful as we go about in our lives trying to make things happen. But…when we let go and let Spirit…well, that's when miracles really DO happen! So thank you! Thank you so VERY much! My heart is overflowing with gratitude!

Awaken

Awaken
Tammy M. Attama
July 20, 2011

Have you forgotten?
In your deep slumber have you not felt my love?
Listen as It speaks impressions upon your heart
Waken, my child, to my love
And give it to the world.
Give your smile
Give your laughter
Give your love

Books planted seeds within you
Classes watered and nourished the seedlings
My love has nurtured them all
And what do you do with this?

Knowledge collect dust upon forgotten shelves
Have you learned nothing?
Leave these pages for benches in the park where some weary seeker awaits its treasures as you once did
Take the words mind studies and breathe love into their vessel
Set them free!
As they were meant to be lived, not memorized

Behold the power within you
Mighty and bold
Touch the world with it as it pours from its higher fountain
Drink and offer the cup to another
For they thirst also
They, too, have lived and traveled deserted lands
Fooled by mirages and long to soak tired bones and aching muscles in the oasis of divine love

If it cannot be found within you to give what has been lavished upon you
Then who?
Are you not all my disciples?
Have you forgotten?

Have you forgotten to shower others with the love I generously bathe you in?
The earth quakes to shake you awake.
The waters rise, sometimes violently so, and flood you with its calls,
"Wake up!"
Nature screams so you will hear,
"Love! Love is the answer!"
Yet deaf you sleep
Not seeing these calls as gifts
And wait for prophets to come and save you.

I tell you this,
You ARE my disciple!
You ARE the love you are waiting for.
Act NOW! No action is too lowly as long as it is done with love.
Wash your dishes!
Listen to your neighbor's call.
Feed your children!
Be the love that you are!
The time is NOW!
Awaken!

I Found...

I found love.
It is you.
It is me.
It is the deep, blue sea.

I found love
In the darkest of nights
Where others fear to tread
And even shadows wish to hide.

I found God.
It is you.
It is me.
It is the deep, blue sea.

I found God
In the darkest of nights
Where others fear to tread
And even shadows wish to hide.

My Worlds

Long stretches of golden sand,
Waves washing upon shore.
My hand in yours,
Together we stand.

In a glory of spectacular colors,
The sun rises,
Gracing us with its presence.
The beauty of a new day.

Our Master meets us
Prepares us for the time
When inner worlds
Greet the outer.

A love so great,
Unknown before,
Spreading like a wildfire
Within two hearts.

Believe!
Imagine!
Rejoice!
The moment is near.

Freedom

I feel so...
Connected.

I feel...
Wrapped in love.

A cocoon of silvery silk thread
Spun delicately around me.

Protected
but not limited.

Uplifted to heights
Previously unexplored.

Sheltered in the generous
Arms of the divine.

Safety procured in Its presence,
New found freedom.

When I Was A Child

When I was a child,
I would dance in the rain,
Sing to the stars,
And spin on grassy meadows
Until falling in a fit of laughter.

When I was a child,
I would hug the trees,
Talk to the animals,
Fly with the wind,
Travel my inner worlds with ease.

When I was a child,
I listened to God.
It spoke in my heart
Words only I could hear,
And I knew of Its love for me.

When I was a child,
Dandelions were not weeds,
But golden faces smiling at me.
Rocks were old friends
Providing me a seat to contemplate.

When I was a child,
I cried when our willow tree
Was chopped down
And the possums
Chased away.

When I was a child,
Fears of the boogeymen
Under my bed
Could be dispelled
With a kiss.

When I was a child,
I climbed out my window
To keep the company
Of a crow
Cawing his secrets to me.

When I grew up,
I longed to become childlike again.
To once again,
Dance in the rain,
Sing to the stars,
Fly with the wind
And reclaim the innocence
Of a mind unpolluted by the world.

The Gift of a New Year

In the beauty of this New Year, I wish nothing for myself, except as it will serve the good of the whole. Instead I give myself completely over to this Highest Source, to love, to God, to my inner Master, Mahanta, and I will be used as It sees fit to use me. For it is in this giving, I truly can receive and so I have lost nothing but gained instead the glories of all that the Sugmad has to offer.

I can do nothing on my own. I am one with this powerful force of love and nothing comes of me but of this true love. Nothing else matters and so I am a gift of true love to this world. And, as I rise, so will you. And, as you rise, so will I and so will they. United we will rise as the powerful beings we have always been...a gift to each other, a gift to life and to all those around us. Do we not recognize our greatness?

We are love. We cannot be without it because we are it. And so I will give of this love to all who crosses my path whether here or in the other worlds. I will love because this is my true self. I choose LOVE! Love has chosen me! Love has chosen you! How will you return all of which you are to the greatness of all that is?

Happy New Year!

True Marriage

Today this seems very relevant so I will post this in lieu of my own writings and meanderings.

"In the beginning man roamed the world without the need of woman, for he was furnished with everything except the chemistry of the feminine nature, and God began to wonder about this. After eternity passed again, God winked his other eye and smiled with happiness, for He had solved the problem of man's lack of traits which included love, affection, and emotional characteristics that are needed for his return to the Nameless world called Anami Lok.

"God decided to split the soul of man and make of him two souls, although this would make man unhappy until he was with woman and became part of her, and she a part of him.

"So God did this and man had a woman to be the negative side of his nature. There was nothing he could do within his world to complete a task of divine doing until he had the cooperation and help of woman at his side.

"Man rebelled against this principle of God's and tried to demoralize woman by making a slave out of her, but it did not work. Woman exerted her divine rights and became an equal partner for man. She became the other side of his nature, to crystalize forms, to show him a better way to God by using his perceptive side of nature.

"On the other hand, neither can woman exist without man. She is dependent upon him for the power of God which flows through him. He has been given a chemical battery which has the ability to draw the power directly to himself, which woman lacks, but can take from man himself.

"This is why man and woman must join to share their gift from God to others. And for this purpose the marriage bonds were created, so man and woman could, under divine law, share their own lives and give to one another experiences which could not be gained alone. And to be the balance against one another's nature.

"It is for this purpose that God has created man and woman, in order that the great law may keep in balance the apex of divine life with woman during his incarnations, he must eventually find his soul mate and be balanced within life, or the universal body of God, to become one.

"Now this law of God enacts upon itself. All things within the body of God must have complete balance. This is the way of balancing man and woman and their natures."

Love Quote by Kahlil Gibran

“It is wrong to think that love comes from long companionship and persevering courtship. Love is the offspring of spiritual affinity and unless that affinity is created in a moment, it will not be created for years or even generations.”

Kahlil Gibran

Just thought this was nice to share...

Higher

Big dreams,
Little girl.
Head always in the clouds.
Feet grounded in reality
By roots dug deep.
Tied to the earth
In a maze of morose.

Wanting to fly,
Windows were doors to rooftops
To feel a kite ascend,
Pretending it was her.
Up, up, up,
They would go on tippy toes.
Down, down, down,
They would fall.

Climbing trees
To be up high.
With only the birds
To chirp lullabies.
Freedom on a branch
As light as air
Nothing could compare.

Until...

Days grew into nights,
Nights into years
Seeking to go ever higher.
Upon the wings of a silver eagle.
Letting go,
Spinning downward,
Speeds so fast
Stealing your breath.

A tug upward!
Floating downward.
A rush of excitement.
What a view!
If only it could be sustained.
The ground again beneath her feet.
A chute swaddling around her
Like a heavy garment
No longer needed.

Time ticks carelessly away,
Yet desires to rise beckon
As she surfs the treetops
Like superwoman.
More often than not, though,
Travels are much gentler.
A simple shift,
A knowingness.
Higher still.

A Life Worth Living

Tomorrow is a day
Not spoken for.
Yesterday an illusion
I have dreamt.
Today, unfinished.

The moment, this moment,
Short and elusive
Is all I am guaranteed.
How will I use it?
How will I leave my mark upon it?

With love.
I will give this moment
And every one of them
Hereafter
All of my love.

For without love,
What worth does life possess?
None.
Only love gives birth
To a life worth living.

Rainy Days

Droplets pitter patter
Tapping a song
Upon my window.

Gray clouds charge ahead.
Pushed forward by the storm
In one continuous stream.

Thunder grumbles and booms.
Bolts of lightening flash
Like spears catapulted across the sky.

Chimes sing their tune
And I listen
To the Sound that is all around.

The Meaning of Life

From above
I see it all so clearly.
Connecting so perfectly.
No mistakes,
No chance meetings,
It is what it is.

From the loin of our greatest pain,
Springs forth our most wondrous self.
Destroying all that was
To make way for all that is.
Opening us to more of the Divine.

Use me!
Allow me to be
All that you have
Deemed me to be
To serve unconditionally.

Let me be pure
So that your love will touch others
Through me
And bring back to life
What is forgotten.

Permit me to be humble
In my service to you.
Clear of all preconceived notions,
Beliefs and judgments.
Open at all times in recognizing your will.

Step aside, my little self.
Something much greater is at work here.
We are only Its servant
Abiding by Its laws of love.
For only then will we realize
The meaning of life.

A Journey to Remembering

When our eyes first met,
I did not know you.
But how could I not
When in my dreams we so often
Rendezvoused upon white sandy beaches
Longing to recapture
A time so distant past.
Connecting a love
That transcended time and space.
Two Souls who could not bear
To be kept apart.

When our hands first touched,
Shooting stars burst between them.
A magic not seen before and ever since.
A spark reigniting a passion
That never died
But instead burned quietly waiting
For the opportunity to burn
Brightly and fiercely once more.
The roar of the flames grew louder
As they reunited as One.

When our lips met,
Time froze completely
Honoring the silent recognition
Of a love running so deeply.
Stunned silence as Soul and Soul
Rejoiced in remembering.
The One becoming two,
Desiring to become One again.
The veil drops before them.
Illusion can be no more.

Alas, they are no longer lost
But neither can they be together.
Circumstances wedged
Like a large fallen tree between them,
Unmovable by mere human strength,
Blocking the only path
They had come to know.
Did they dare dream for Divine Intervention?
Or had hope suffered a terrible death,
Crushed beneath the weight of fate?

From My Back Window

Stretching forth,
Shaking off the sleepiness
Of nighttime,
A beautiful array of colors
Rise up in the morning.

Blues, pinks,
Oranges and gold
Unfold for me
To contemplate
Like a gift being unwrapped.

Tinkling of wind chimes,
Chirping of birds,
Soaring past to say hello.
No further must I go
Then to my back window.

Clouds pass by.
Some dark,
Gray and foreboding.
Others like big white cotton balls
Against baby blue skies.

Quickly passing at times,
Slowly at others.
Fascinated by their light
The intensity of their glow.
Wondrous.

Amusing me with funny faces
Or a parade of animals
Marching by for my enjoyment
Extract giggles and delight
Open my heart with love and gratitude.

For there I will discover
Love resides.
And I never had to go
Any further than my
Back window.
